NUDGES Action Research Agenda for 2027
The NUDGES Action Research Agenda for 2027 (agenda) is a strategic output that outlines key research and policy priorities aimed at accelerating climate change mitigation and adaptation actions across Mediterranean cities through the integration of behavioural nudges, multi‑sensory interventions, and evidence‑based experimentation, alongside the institutionalisation of these approaches in local policies. It emphasises the potential of subtle, non-coercive behavioural prompts (climate nudges) and culturally embedded practices to close the gap between environmental awareness and concrete sustainable actions among citizens. It also prioritises deepening research on the links between cultural policies, identity, and environmental behaviours, with emphasis on youth and intergenerational influence. Further Euro‑MED, EU, and national support is proposed to scale behavioural and cultural nudges, complementing a replication and community‑engagement agenda based on Living Labs and participatory methods. Together, these elements form a foundation for continuity and broader uptake of the NUDGES approach.
